Holly Springs, North Carolina is a town with a history that dates all the way back to before the Civil War. It is believed the town was formed around the fresh water springs of what’s considered the original Holly Springs—which today is near the intersection of Avent Ferry Road and Cass Holt Road.

Despite its historic background however, Holly Springs didn’t actually see substantial growth until the community’s first sewage plant was built in 1987. Since then, population has soared and Holly Springs is now home to 31,377 residents as of 2015—a number that’s grown substantially since the 2000 population of 9,192.
